How we collect, use and protect your personal data on this website. Version [version], last updated [date].

Who we are

This website is run by Odatrise Media Labs Pvt. Ltd., which trades as Make My Hype ("we", "us"). Registered office: [registered address]. [CIN, if it should be shown].

For website visitors and people who contact us through it, we decide why and how personal data is used. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we act as the Data Fiduciary. [Counsel to confirm wording, and whether the EU GDPR applies to visitors from the EU.]

Privacy and grievance contact: Swapnil D. Puranik, Founder and Director — swapnil@makemyhype.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry

  • Your name and email address.
  • If you choose to give them: phone number, company, role, the service you are interested in, a subject, your message and how you prefer to be contacted.
  • Whether you asked to receive occasional insights by email (this box is never pre-ticked).
  • The version of this notice shown with the form.
  • The page you sent the form from, the first page of your visit, the website that referred you (its domain only) and campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source). These are kept in your browser for the visit only, not in a cookie.
  • A shortened form of your IP address, used to stop spam.

When you make a privacy request

Your name, email address, the type of request, any details you add and a shortened IP address.

When you use the website

Your cookie choice (see the cookie policy). With your consent only: analytics about how the website is used (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement [LinkedIn Insight Tag, if used]. We do not use analytics to identify you, and we never send names, email addresses, phone numbers or message text to analytics tools.

Our hosting provider keeps technical server logs (such as IP address, date and page requested) for security. [Confirm the retention period with the hosting provider.]

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project with you.
  • To send occasional insights by email, only if you ticked the box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it, only if you allow analytics cookies.
  • To measure our advertising, only if you allow marketing cookies.
  • To keep the website secure and stop spam and abuse.
  • To handle privacy requests and keep a record that we did.

[Counsel to confirm the basis for each purpose: consent, or a legitimate use under the DPDP Act; legal bases under the GDPR if it applies.]

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website, and only as far as they need it:

  • Website hosting: Hostinger. [Data-centre location to confirm in hPanel.]
  • Email delivery: [email provider].
  • Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics), only if you allow analytics or marketing cookies.
  • [LinkedIn, only if you allow marketing cookies and the Insight Tag is used.]
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp. Those messages are handled under WhatsApp’s own terms.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside India

Some of these providers, including Google, process data outside India. [Counsel to confirm the transfer wording and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.]

How long we keep it

We erase personal data as soon as the purpose it was collected for is met or you withdraw your consent, or 90 days after we receive it, whichever is earlier.

  • Enquiries: erased once the enquiry is concluded, or 90 days after we receive it, whichever is earlier.
  • Messages identified as spam: 30 days.
  • Records of cookie choices: 90 days. They contain a random ID, not your name or email address.
  • Privacy requests: 90 days after they are closed, so that we can show the request was handled.
  • If you become a client, we keep what is needed for the client relationship under separate terms.

Deleted data can remain in backups until those backups expire. It is not used. [Backup retention period to confirm.]

Your rights

You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, to delete it, to withdraw consent (for example to stop marketing emails), to nominate someone to act for you, and to raise a grievance.

Use our privacy request form at /privacy-requests/ or email the privacy contact above. We confirm requests by email, so that only you can make them. We aim to respond within 30 days. [Counsel to confirm response times.]

You can change your cookie choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect what was done before.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. [Counsel to confirm wording.]

How we protect it

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only authorised staff can see enquiries, using individual accounts with two-step verification, and their actions are logged. If a personal data breach happens, we will act and inform those affected and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our practices change, and show the new version and date at the top. If a change affects the cookies you agreed to, we will ask you again.
